So, hi there. I have not posted for a while and here we are in July. *blinks* I have not been having any sort of epic adventures, though I did go see Green Lantern which was an adventure in itself. Actually, I don't recall much of the movie except for ( Ryan Reynolds )

Went to see Sanctum at the IMAX tonight, of course it was in 3D. I don't think they can make a movie these days without it. Also, the 3D glasses near enough swallowed my face. Those things were big let me tell you. Not sure if that is normal for Imax as it was my first time. *g*

So my friend and I just spent the best part of the last 3 hours making fun of Harry Potter. In a good way, you understand. This was to help me through being a Potter virgin. I won the lottery! *drumroll plz* A WHOPPING....£10. Yes, that is ten pounds. Hee. So it's not a champagne-popping amount but I've never won on the lottery before. It was very exciting for me. :P

The A-Team movie has arrived on my shores. Go on, whistle the theme song. I know you want to. ;)

So I watched a movie that didn't have Russell Crowe in it. Shocking, right? Went to see Inception and, apart from having very stiff knees by the end of it, (if I could lie on the floor to be more comfy in the cinema I would!) I thought it was really good. :D

Instead of melting outside, I've been watching teevee with the windows open and the smell of next doors barbecue wafting through. Mmmmm.

So. Westerns. They're getting to me again! I watched The Missing, and 3:10 to Yuma, both of which I had never seen before and I, um, really enjoyed them. I decided to add them to my wishlist along with Appaloosa ( Read more... )

Tonight I finally got around to seeing Sherlock Holmes. It wasn't disappointing considering I've been hankering to see it for about a month now - there is always a danger you build these things up so much and end up feeling a bit empty inside after viewing. It will be another 4 weeks for the BBC to get to the important Callum portion of Harper's Island. Tonight featured the episode where Wakefield's photo was flashed in the newspaper. *insert gleeful squeak here*

I really should go to the movies more often, if only to stop myself from being so ignorant about...well... everything in recent movie history. Y'see, I went to see X-Men Origins last night where it occurred to me that unless it's a movie I'm really really looking forward to (rare) and/or features CKR then I know absolutely nothing about it.

( Case in point: Wolverine. )
